Users can experience the adventure first-hand with five action-packed, challenging arcade games that sweep them into the unexplored world of Jumanji.
Monkeys In the Kitchen Game - A pack of wild Jumanji monkeys are loose in the kitchen! The player must dodge their barrage of heavy pots and pans, while trying to lock the silly simians in the refrigerator where they become too chilly to cause trouble.
Monsoon Lagoon Game - Unexpectedly swept into a wild monsoon, the player must navigate through a rapidly flooding mansion avoiding hungry crocodiles and water hazards by hopping from one precariously bobbing piece of furniture to another to reach safety.
Van Pelt Wild Hunter Game - Van Pelt is on the prowl and he is hiding deep within the jungle foliage. The mysterious beat of the Jumanji drums penetrate players' senses as they flush him out of his hiding place with a paintball gun.
Tiny Bites Game - Armed with only a fly swatter and quick reflexes, the player is trapped in a room full of starving spiders, monstrous mosquitoes and a bevy of bats. Swat the high-flying bats into the webs of the oversized arachnids before they wrap the player into a cocoon.
Vine/Maze Game - It's a stampede! Jumanji animals are loose in the house and the player is trapped in a maze of thick vines. The only way to escape is to run deeper into the jungle, find the lost city of Jumanji and recover the gold from the hidden temple.
Each game offers three levels of difficulty for hours of interactive entertainment. Users can save games in progress and track previous scores.
~ from the press release
Jumanji is a mini-game compilation released a few months after the movie busted blocks in the summer of 1996. It is aimed at a young demographic with gameplay that'll only occupy that age range for a couple of hours at the most.
Whether it's an inaccurate slingshot shooting gallery or Galaga by way of giant spiders, each game is very basic. They missed an opportunity by not having a playable recreation of the board game - that's literally the whole point of the movie. To be fair, it is there but its only purpose is that of a main menu.
Overall, a missed opportunity. A below-average gaming compilation and a terrible movie tie-in. Something that was par for the course back then. Play only if you fancy a brief time waster themed to a beloved movie.
