THE CHRISTMAS CATCHUP - THE FESTIVE FINALE

In the sage words of a singing Wizzard; IT'S CHRISTMAAAS!!! And with that comes the last entry of my Christmas Catch-up; Lemmings - or a compilation of the original Lemmings Trilogy (1991-2000 Psygnosis). Included in the massive bumper package along with the first game is Oh No! More Lemmings, Lemmings 2: The Tribes and The All New World of Lemmings (aka Lemmings Chronicles). Not to mention the oh-so-festive themed demos the future-GTA-developers put out back in the day. With all the console, handheld and computer ports in tow, that's 32 games in total! Whew!

Now to find time to (not) make a video about it all...

Merry Christmas!

  1. Good day Biffman!
Thank you for this incredible run of games, it almost felt like an advent calendar daily event for me! I'm sure I speak for many when I say we appreciate your hard work and dedication. Speaking of which, I'm curious if you're considering working on Emperor: Battle For Dune? I kind of was expecting it after your release of Dune 2000. It's an amazing game; I have it on CD but it's a chore to play that way. Regardless, thanks again for everything and Happy Holidays!

    1. Hello! Hope you're have a good Christmas.

I have made some leeway on Emperor. It's close, but s not quite there so you can expect it at some point. I did want to keep the variety up for those not necessarily into RTS games.

    2. Thanks for the quick reply! During the holidays no less :).

Definitely understand in regards to variety, I'm looking forward to it's eventual release from the chamber's hidden vault. Once again appreciate the tremendous work you're doing here and stay safe during these unusual holidays!

  3. Yes Thank You. I hope You have a good Christmas too :D

I try play Whell of Time.

I install it without problems - but in Glide, D3D, Software and in safe mode not run.

    My spec:
OS: Windows 7 Home 64 bit
    Proc: Intel I7-2630QM 2.00GHz 2.00GHz
    RAM: 16 GB
    Graphics Card: Geforce GTX 560M
    Mouse: Roccat Kone Pure

    DX11 installed.

Whatever - its a old laptop - ASUS ROG G74S.

Do you think its a problem of OS ?

    1. The problem is probably the renderer you're choosing. It needs to be D3D11, not D3D which Windows 7 does not support. You can find more info on the renderer in the link on that game page's info blurb.

I do it. Everything works fine.
      I turned on DEP - at WOT.exe

It's a problem in some kind of games on Unreal Engine on mine OS/Laptop.
Last time I need do the same in Assault on Terror AOT.

      Thank You very much :)

  4. Would love to see Lemmings Revolutions on this site. The game is almost impossible (well for me at least) to get running on a modern PC.

  5. Merry Xmas (in hindsight - at least the holidays might still be intact for some individuals among us) and a bright, flourishing upcoming year 2022 to all those ones who not only gather around The Collection Chamber more or less regularly, but also to the grandmaster himself: Biff 1-0-1! Therefore tell me, good guy, where would be without you? Being left alone with GOG to satisfy our hunger for all the good old games, together with their stunning reviews that only big English YOU can write so charmingly and informatively at the same time? I mean, that couldn't be! :-)

    Bye for now,
    Thomas

  6. So much Lemmingy goodness! ( :
I love those little critters. Thankyou for your hard work in bringing them here, Biff.

  7. Hope you had a good Christmas and new year! Lemmings will always be dear to my heart. Although heretically I can only appreciate the NES's rich, warble-y soundtrack, having grown up with that (otherwise inferior) port.

  8. Hullo. Love the Chamber, big fan. Unfortunately this one has been taken down, any chance of a re-up elsewhere?
